Small vent

This is my first time posting something here so hopefully I'm doing this right

Last night I had a big rehersal for our spring musical. Beforehand, I had an anxiety attack and didn't come into the rehearsal feeling my best. Then I kept messing up and everyone was being scolded by the choreographer. I feel bad because I take all feedback as a personal attack and a little voice in my head says "Its your fault, you disappointed them." That night I went home and vented on my close friends a little but started crying. I feel like I don't deserve to be in this show or anything I've gotten. I feel like I'm dissapointing everyone. It's not helping that we had two lockdowns due to a prank which boosted my anxiety a bunch. I don't know what to do to stop feeling like this

@weirdoJo1234

Welcome 🤗

You do deserve to be in this show.

You've worked hard

The choreographer only wants your best.

You've worked too hard to not let yourself have this chance.

Have fun.

Don't pressurise yourself.

Anxiety can be difficult to manage but not impossible

It's important in these moments, you are not hard on yourself đź’š

don’t worry there’s no right or wrong way to post here :)

i hope i had an answer for you to stop feeling this pain and guilt. but i know that even if i told you that it really wasn’t your fault then atleast a small part of you won’t believe me. just because you messed up doesn’t mean that you can’t have a place in the musical. you belong there. if you didn’t then you wouldn’t be there in the first place. that little voice in your head will always tell you lies. it always lies to you. try not to listen to it. or drown it out. don’t be too hard on yourself when you’re already dealing with anxiety. whatever happens because of your anxiety is not your fault. just like messing up in the rehearsal is not your fault. i’m sending you lots of love💕
