hi. 2 years ago i was having therapy and was on medication for depression. i felt better and around last november i stopped going with doctors permission. but now i've been feeling bad i go through days when i'm ok and then days when i'm really sad. i'm starting to feel tired of this cycle. i'm loosing motivation to do whatever and i feel like i'm little kid because if my mom says i shouldn't do or buy something i dont and i'm almost 18. then i regret not doing or not buying or whatever and i'm so angry at myself

Hello everyone. My name is Armando, I'm 28 and I'm from Mexico. For a few years now I've been dealing with intermitent depression stages. Sometimes it's quite easy to handle, sometimes it gets pretty tough. There are days that seem normal, in which I am active and alert and can function well, and there are others when I just can't even move. Those days I feel so tired and aching and for no reason at all, I feel sick and tired of everything and it all seems heavy and obscure. But the worst I think are the "opaque" days. Days when colors are not bright, but not dark, just don't seem alive. Days when I feel numb and slow, as when you float on water with just your mouth and nose out to breathe. Everything is blurry and meaningless. Those are the worst days, and are becoming the majority of my days. I want to take control of my life, I want to learn to manage my emotiones and find meaning to life and re-gain my confidence and passion to do things. I'll be here if you need a pair of ears (or eyes), because just as I want to get better, everyone here does and I'll be glad to help if I can. Thanks for reading.

Hello, not sure where to start. But last two months have been very miserable for me and I have slipped into severe depression. I have trouble getting out of bed every morning. I am constantly questioning my purpose in life. And just feel so beaten down. It takes every ounce of me to keep holding on and lately my thoughts have been wandering to horrible things. I know I need to keep fighting but there are times where I just want to throw the towel in and give up.

@Pink3184 - Hello, Pink! You are not alone in your suffering and please feel free to take as much time as you need figuring it out, and talking about it, while you're here with us in the community. <3 Depressive episodes within chronic depression are very difficult. You described it very well, it is an awful experience! Depression often is a very heavy thing, almost physically heavy at times. Reaching out is a great idea! Sometimes just talking about how awful it feels can help make it feel a little lighter, and help us see possibilities again... For me, it's okay to take a break now and then from the pursuit of happiness and just exist; not to give in to the depression, but also not to fight it, just for a day or two. Reach out as often as you want to! Depression is an exhausting, long experience, and we are only human. We are here for you in the community. <3 Love.
