any student who feels just like me?
I've been feeling terrible sadness for so long. it's summer holiday where i expected everything and all the bad feelings to be at least not that harsh as they used to be during the academic year.
i don't enjoy anything anymore. i wake up in the morning feeling disgusted that i have to eat and drink, or that i have to re-live the same day with the same people although i love them.
i am in constant urge to cry. i can't cry whenever i feel like crying bc i don't want anyone to ask me why. there's no specific reason for my sadness.
i am tired of "feeling tired, sad, unmotivated" constantly. i feel like i need therapy but i have no money. and i can't leave the house without telling them where i am going.
i wish my life ends. i wish these feelings stop. i want a long break from them. i feel them intensely at least 4/7 days of the week.
i am 23, but i feel i had enough from life and i just want it to end right here. i always wish i die am ready to leave. i don't want to do it myself because i know my family loves me. but i really can't take it anymore. i wish sth happens to me where i go away and all these feelings stop.
if anyone felt like this before please share sth with me. how are you coping? do you even feel like living??
@ruqaishia
heyy, i understand what ur going through....
about suicide:
No matter how deep the night, it will always turn to day eventually.
Don't forget this life is given to you and you have no rights to take it yourself. Committing suicide is a crime. I know you are facing a severe downfall and I know you are in depression but think for yourself, would it be worth the effort of giving up your life?
I have been at that point more times in my life than I care to admit. Attempted suicide twice even. But the one thing I have learned is that there is always a way to keep pushing through it. My advice is find out what you're actually willing to do right now to help yourself. Coming here was a good first step.
I'm not sure what you're living situation is but a good first step that I reccomend is something as simple as cleaning your apartment/house. Sounds very simple and pointless but at least you can say that you put in some effort and accomplished something. And then try to keep it clean, at least once a week. And when you get into that routine, attempt to work on your diet. This may take a while and some research into what healthy things you can eat that aren't too difficult to make. From there, excersise, twice a week. If you're eating a healthy diet and exercising you will automatically start feeling a little better. But you'll still be depressed. I'd say once you're doing that for a couple months, really sit down and think about what you want to do with your life. Figure out a goal with some sort of career choice. It's going to seem like a huge, monumental task.
Probably impossible. But the most important thing is that at least a couple times a week, you take a very small baby step towards that goal. It may never work out, but in order to feel fulfilled you need to put in a tiny amount of effort towards something you want to achieve. Take each and every day one at a time, and just find out what you are willing to do to accomplish it. It can be very small. And that's okay, because at least you are trying.
try listening to people like Jordan Peterson.Trust me, I know it's going to be a very long, difficult road. But you need to at least try, for yourself. You don't owe anyone anything, and no one owes you anything. Try your best to hang in there, I'm rooting for you and you should be too.
it somehow felt warm knowing someone could relate. i listen to Douglas Bloch on YouTube too. thanks for your suggestion ❤️
@ruqaishia you're welcome...u can talk to me if u need anything...im here...and we're all here for u...rooting for u
hey Ruqaishia,
I'm 21 and can kind of relate. I wish I could end my pain through the act of not being on Earth anymore, but I am very ambitious; my will to live is apparently stronger than my wanting the pain to go away.
One thing that helps me is listening to One More Light by Linkin' Park. Sometimes I wish that I had met Chester Bennington when he was still alive; in dark times of my life, I think about going up and meeting him there.
If no one else can relate, Chester can.
I have lots of long-distance friends, but I know that life gets busy.
I hope this helps,
East
