November is diabetes awareness month and November 14th is international diabetes day.

Diabetes is condition in which body is unable to digest sugars properly due to lack of insulin due to nonfunctional pankreas (diabetes type 1) or insulin resistance (diabetes type 2) or diabetes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes).

Prevalence of diabetes varies among countries. In USA there is large disproportion in prevalence of diabetes between different ethnic groups. Many people aren't aware that they have got diabetes. Click to read more information about diabetes.

I have a few loved ones around me who suffer with this lifelong health issue. I would like to wish them and maybe, do something nice for them!

@BookChunky oh, it must be very difficult to those around you to suffer with diabetes. I hope that they will be able to manage it well.
