Visual Snow Syndrome/HPPD
This is a relatively rare disorder that tends to get ignored by the medical community due to stigma and how brain imaging results are inconclusive.
It consists of having permanent sensory alterations, mainly visual, but tinnitus might also count as one of those.
The psychiatric symptoms are the worst in most cases, they're a combination of depression, depersonalization, anxiety and brain fog.
A couple of cases are resolved within two years but many persist indefinitely. I've lived a little more than a year with this. There's a large community of people with Visual Snow and HPPD in Facebook.
