What's your condition? (Friendly discussion)
Hello there! It's EmpatheticJem!
I've seen a few threads on this site and have commented on some. But I thought it'd be cool if we could introduce ourselves and (if comfortable) discuss our disability and answer any questions people may have.
So to start, I have nemaline myopathy. It is a rare genetic disorder that makes my muscles weak and my joints loose. It also means that I am in chronic pain.
It doesn't get me down though! It is a part of me, and I wouldn't want to live without it 💕
Tell me about your beautiful selves. I'd love to hear from you and provide whatever support I can.
We're all in this together.
Hi everybody I'm Skye, I have TBI traumatic brain injury from a car accident when I was 6. Causes me several issues from sleepwalking, migraines, sensitivity to sunlight, delayed growth and development.
I am born deaf. I have been through surgery at 2 years old to have a cochlear implant. I also have been through years of speech therapy. I also think that I have undiagnosed autism, but I'm too scared to ask my dad to get me a test.

Thanks for sharing, that sounds really tough. I hope you can feel safe enough to reach out. Tc hang in there.
Hi there! My name is Renee. I'm now deaf with Cochlear implants in both ears. I was born hearing so speech isn't a problem. Although I seem to studder more. The actual surgery encouraged migraines to surface. There for now I have migraines frequently. Hyperthyroidism. Ptsd. Anxiety mostly social ocd tendencies. Im just a mess. Really. I still try ro keep going.
