1. What are your plans and goals for December?

In these hectic times of year, I usually try to plan some "me" time. If one cannot make the time then they do themselves an injustice. Life at this time of year has a way of getting away from you. One needs to consciously map out time for self-care. My goals are simple: slow down; the activities we plan will be there waiting for us. Make sure you still connect with those in life that keep you grounded. And lastly, don't allow yourself to become overburdened with so much that you cannot keep the promises that you have made.

2. How does the beginning of this month make you feel?

It is time for family and friends. I look forward to being with those I love and recount how the year has gone for not only myself but for those I love as well. The start of this month brings all to the forefront of my thinking. It is in the last month of the year that one needs to take the time for reflection on what has been wrought and a look forward to the new year and all it has to offer.

3. What are your tips for not feeling overwhelmed or lonely?

Keeping a positive frame of mind is one such tip. Counting my blessings for this year is another. Thinking how fortunate I am for having such a great family and good friends is another tip to feeling not so overwhelmed this time of year. Keeping active is another way to keep loneliness at bay. Realizing that almost another year has gone and I am still active and appreciated is a feeling that can combat these attitudes we all have at some point in time.

4. What would you like support with?

Gaining support here at 7 Cups has been a godsend for me. I would like the caring and concern that I have received here to continue through to the next year. Knowing that one is not alone in their issues and that there are those who have an understanding of what you are experiencing is one thing that I take with me into the next year.🎅🎄🎁⛄️

What are your plans and goals for december?

I'd like to be done with 1 of my classes in school and at least started with a new one. Ideally I'd be halfway into the new 1 but I'm not pushing that hard since I'm already ahead.

How does the beginning of this month make you feel?

I love all the decorations. They improve my mood. Otherwise I'm battling SAD but being proactive this year with plenty of light therapy and Vitamin D.

What are your tips for dealing with feeling overwhelmed or lonely?

Take a step back, take a deep breath, and prioritize. Remember as you do so that you should be the #1 priority.

What a great goal! Classes can be stressful but that is awesome that you are ahead! I also love this time of year. The decorations and people in general seem more jolly is exactly how I wish it was every day. I have found Vitamin D works well for me. That and Vitamin B.

I really like how you mention to take a step back. We often get so caught up that we just keep pushing through it all without really taking that step back and asking ourselves what we need to do to take care of ourselves first.

What are your plans and goals for December? My goal is to get through my finals and just spend the holiday with family plus working a few hours.

How does the beginning of this month make you feel? The beginning of the month has me overwhelmed. I am dealing with my torn rotator cuff while trying to finish the academic term up. It is all a little bit stressful.

What are your tips for dealing with feeling overwhelmed or lonely? I think it is important to take some time just for ourselves. We get so caught up in the holidays, end of year activities, bills we have to pay, and just checking things off our to-do list that we forget to take moments for ourselves. Going out for walks, taking a stroll through the park, ice skating (depending where you live), and just catching up with friends and family can help you feel a little less lonely.

What would you like some support with? I think right now I don't need much support. I really am just trying to get through my finals with good scores. I really need to do better this term.

My plans and goals is to save up money mostly. It's a slow month at where l work so it's easy. I meditate and breathe to control these feelings. I want help with something l can't do alone or don't understand.
