Trying to get more actively involved in the subcommunities I most want to be involved in as a listener and I figured responding to the check-ins was a good place to start! :) Looking forward to connecting more with y'all!

1) how are you all feeling this week

I'm in a weird mood today. Not totally sure how to describe it. Maybe mostly physical anxiety that's leading me to emotionally feel anxious when it's really originating in my body if that makes sense. And my brain is foggy!

2) Anyone here looking forward to Christmas/not looking foward. how come if not and what for if you are

I do not celebrate Christmas but I'm looking forward to my partner who works full time having some time off!!

3) what do you enjoy most about Christmas

I enjoy extra time with the people I love because they have a little time off of work :)

4) how has last week and this week gone for you

It's been a mixed bag. Some good moments and some extremely tough moments. Overall I would say it has been a little bit better than the week before which feels like a win :)

I feel like I'm about 5 days behind in terms of healing what's expected for a biopsy. Which is quite a bit considering most people are told they need like 1-2 days off of work, if their work isn't physical.

I saw a doctor yesterday and just getting there was pretty difficult, hubby helped lots, dropped me off right at the door, etc. and I ended up feeling quite nauseated. Didn't really get much more in terms of answers from the appointment, but a referral is going out and I was able to make a request that was sent on to pathology to get more detailed information from the biopsy results.

Christmas is going to be hard with being so sick. I really haven't done anything for it yet besides ordering some gifts online for my nephews. Cards aren't going to happen. Usually with my family we do stocking stuffers and I don't think my family we be getting any of those from me this year either.

@AffyAvo aww no affy taking so long to recover must be extremly frustrating they seem to think everyones healing rate is the same though after my op they said id be good to go that day they were wrong it turned into a 3 day stay not go home same day and thinking everyone's the same is one huge mistake to make as were not

i hope the appointment with the doctor went well affy thats good you got to send a request for more results and Oh no on feeling nauseated upon arrival

im sure your family will understand you arent feeling so good and can only do what you are able to manage doing

I got my new orthotics finally (they had to be sent back because they came in too short) and they luckily didn't charge more than just the copay for the redo, so now i'll hopefully be in less pain walking (key word being hopefully haha). I feel like ive had Christmas early with my new custom orthotics and my new special shoes. I haven't yet looked into the thing you wear at night to stretch your leg while you sleep, but i'll probably get something like that too. Overall, i think im not excited for christmas since christmas means my short school break is ending, so it's like wishing for it to come feels like wishing for the last day of summer haha... I think im more excited for the here and now :) with my hopes for painless walking being placed in my fancy shoes! Haha it'd be nice to not need surgery so fingers crossed the new pair does the trick!!
