1) How do you manage current situation with limitations due to coronavirus?
When it comes to non-medical stuff I wasn't going out much anyway, so that isn't a big change. I do miss going out shopping on occasion and I find it difficult to get certain items.
2) Have the therapies and/or medical check-ups you need due to your disability been cancelled/postponed? How has it affected you and your physical and/or mental well being?
Most of my appointments have been carrying on as usual. Some clinics have switched to phone appointments which is fine with me but with the rare blood disorder clinic only set up an appointment with my hematologist, I did miss doing the updates with my nurse and social worker. Blood tests were being done less frequently which caused me a bit of anxiety when things were fluctating a lot, now that they are stable it's less of a concern although there are still things that pop up, like one value dropped and I'm not sure if it's because of a medication that I used once or if it would have happened anyway.
Medication delays have caused me a fair bit of stress, I am often out/nearly out of my blood product before I can get more.
3) Is there anything which helped you coping with the situation in last year?
Connecting with others when they have been home a fair bit too, that has been nice as typically many people are out doing things when I am home sick, this year has been different with more online opportunities and even just people wanting to talk on the phone. I also got outside a fair bit when I could during our warmer weather.
4) How was the last week for you?
Tiring. Last week I got test results, I actually got more details from June that weren't explained and those were actually really good. THis time around there was no improvement although things were worse. So disappointment about lack of progress these past 6 months, while also happy for the improvement seen earlier. Also was happy to get those details, I was pretty upset before when I got a lot of I don't know.
@gentleSun78 coronavirus hasn't changed my life all that much. I am a little more isolated than I had been but other than that no difference.
My therapies and clinic appointments are the same. In fact this week I have dr appointments nearly all week long.
