Sorry, quite late with this today, I had a busy day!

For those celebrating Easter or Passover, what are you doing? Any plans to manage your symptoms/limitations/etc. with celebrations?

If there are other celebrations this week feel free to share what you're doing too!

Feel free to come in throughout the week, seek out some support as needed or share some of the high points to your week.

Today, physically I am doing pretty well considering the week I had, I had planned for a low key day.

Emotionally is a different story, a little thing just brought up so many difficulties I have dealt with over quite a while in dealing with chronic illnesses. I've had a few little cry-fests today, trying to limit the tears while not actually holding them back as that can trigger some face swelling fingers crossed physically tomorrow is still a good day.

Often times I think we get hit with messages like look at the positives, count your blessings, others have it worse, etc.

Being chronically sick really can take a toll emotionally, it doesn't matter if others have it worse, the crap we deal with isn't a competition. Sometimes looking at the positive isn't going to be a mood flip. Some of the things we have mostly accepted and developed some kind of peace with will not be that way all the time - for me today it was a little thing that just brought back a flood of comparisions with those who are healthy. The huge amount of effort I put in just to be where I am at, far below what I would have ever imagined 10 years ago.

So I write this taking breaks to blow my nose and wipe away tears. I hope tomorrow is better. Acknowledging that things are hard is acceptable, and I hope you all have people you can reach out to in those moments, be it here or elsewhere.
