Intoeing-when is it considered a disability?
Essentially what the title says, I have pretty bad intoeing from the hip, (along with other issues) haven't gotten measurements lately because of covid, but my right foot is almost perpendicular to my left foot. It is not correctible without surgery, and I was wondering if anyone else in this community had this issue, or honestly if anyone would think of it as a disability, I might as it can cause pain, I have an odd gait, instability in my ankle, issues with tripping and playing sports.
@SpaceOrchid Welcome!
In regards to 7cups, anytime something related to this would want to be discussed, it fits into disability support
Here there isn't a need to classify something as a disability, it's just the best term we have to sort of code what topics are relevant to this subcommunity.
When it comes to classifying it as a disability elsewhere in terms of funding.accomodations, the criteria can really be all over the place and would typically focus on things like walking distance capability, balance, ability to use stairs, pain levels. in terms of individuals, I suspect those who have it vary greatly in if they consider themselves disabled or not too!
