Hello Community Listeners and Members! This is my first post here and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Disability Support Community at 7 Cups! For those of you who may not know me, I am Tazzie, a Sub-Community Ambassador and one of the many Sub-Communities that I oversee, is our lovely Disability Support Community.

I love how supportive, welcoming and united this community is. I'm grateful for all the hard work all the team members invest into making this community the awesome space that it is. I'm also very thankful to see participation and support from all members! Shout out to all of you for being so kind!

Feedback - positive and constructive always helps us to do better as a community! I'd like to hear your thoughts in response to the following:

1. What do you love the most about the Disability Support Community?
2. What have you learned as a member of this community?
3. Do you have a favorite post or a discussion that you found helpful?
4. A forum post idea that you would like to share with us today.

Thank you again for your support. I am looking forward to your responses.

1. What do you love the most about the Disability Support Community?

Connecting with others who have similar challenges, learning some ways to deal with them. I've made some really good friends here.

2. What have you learned as a member of this community?
I think my time here has taught me to be more patient with myself at times. I've also learned about challenges I never would have even considered and how people deal witht those.

3. Do you have a favorite post or a discussion that you found helpful?

There are so many to pick just a few!

4. A forum post idea that you would like to share with us today.

Many of my ideas are out there. We have a disability awareness event coming up, so I would welcome any help with that whether people want to write their own posts or just offer some suggestions of things they would like to see for our team to do.

@Tazzie

1. What do you love the most about the Disability Support Community?

I love that this community is kind and supportive and that we are very casual, but we get a lot done.

2. What have you learned as a member of this community?

I have learned how to listen better, how to be patient, how to be kinder to myself.

3. Do you have a favorite post or a discussion that you found helpful?

No, I think that what is most helpful is the relationships between people, the sense of community, and the fact that people care for one another. I think the forums and discussions are a tool, but not nearly as important as the connections with people.

4. A forum post idea that you would like to share with us today.

We need to start talking about Ableism and person-centered language.
