Hey there laugh I've done an AMA before in an AMA specific forum thread elsewhere on this site, but I figured doing one here may be cool smiley For starters, my name is Emily (waaaitt what??? Wow, we would've never guessed! surprise)wink and I am a Listener for Teens smiley I've been a Listener since June 5, 2015 and I think it's totally amazing! I became a Teen Star later, and I am currently on the Quality (Quality Coaching), Forum (not decided on which Forum to focus on surprise Maybe this one! laugh), and Support Team/Support Room (leading Disability Support) tracks. I am from the States, so feel free to Ask me Anything!

@Emily619

Okay so I have a bunch of random questions.

1. Have you ever done a prank call and if so what was it about?

2. What has the weirdest compliment you've given/recieved?

3. What's your favorite book?

4. Are you an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert?

5. Do you have any phobias?

6. What's your most embarrassing story? :o

7. What's your favorite color?

8. What's your favorite gif? (Also do you pronounce it gif or jif?)

9. What made you want to be on the disability support team?

10. When was the moment in your life when you laughed the hardest?

1. I have done prank calls multiple times cheeky Most of my prank call memories are from middle school days when my best friend and I would prank call others from school using an anonymous number so they wouldn't know it was us or to be able to call us back. We never did anything bad, we usually faked accents and acted like scammers to see if they would fall for it, or tell them that we're pizza deliverers. Unfortunately, they usually hang up XD. Other times would include times with my youth group and we would do prank calls of hope (dial a random number and say they're awesome or something). Most of the time the numbers were out of service, go figure. Thank goodness for phone books and the Internet!

2. The weirdest compliment I've had.. Hmm.. This one will get me thinking surprise Probably when someone said they liked my teeth and how having clear braces on top makes them look whiter, and they thought it looked cool. It was from a little kid cheeky As far as one that I gave, it'd have to be the time when I was at a church dance a couple years ago and wanted to talk to this boy that I liked, and I said his tie matched his eyes. He just said, "ummm... Thanks?" Which I don't blame him, that's a bizarre compliment.

3. My favorite book changes all the time but as of now it'd have to be The Postmortal by Drew Magary.

4. I would totally say ambivert, but as everyone says, "never say neutral on a survey." If I had to pick one, I'd say I'm currently an introvert, but if you asked me 10 years ago I'd say the opposite without hesitation. I wonder what it'll be like in 10 years from now again, hmm!

5. (Trigger warning) I don't have many phobias, in fact I'm the opposite to most. I love heights, I love fast rides, and all that fun stuff cheeky However, my greatest phobia is thanatophobia, also known as the fear of dying. Although I am Christian, I struggle with a belief in the afterlife, although I surely hope there is one. The idea of nothingness (or eternal oblivion) scares me soooo much. I could go on and on about this, but I'll leave it to that.

6. I have many embarrasing stories, mostly from middle school blush My most embarrassing story would be hard to narrow down to, but if I had to pick one I'd probably say anytime my dad was with me in public and a guy I had a crush on at the time was with there too. You know how dads are in these cases wink

7. My favorite color flucuates just like my favorite book, but as of right now it'd have to be purple because it's one of my close friend's school color surprise Green is also high up om the list because when I broke my arm in 4th grade, my cast was that color and it always has been my favorite or one of my favorite colors since then smiley

8. I'm nor surw how to link GIF's here but my favorite so far is a Pusheen Baker Cat GIF. Also has a catchy song, if you look up Baker Cat on YouTube you'll find it. (Bonus points: Watch the 10 hour one. I dare you devil). I used to pronounce letters out like G.-I.-F. but now I usually say gif with a hard G (not like the peanut butter brand or like jif with a soft G).

9. I joined the Disability Support Team because I would love to start it up on the Teen side laugh I'm beyond blessed to not have any disabilities, but I figured supporting others through weekly support sessions would (and it does! smiley) boost my understanding of what it's like, and from that I can better empathize with them heart

10. This is a stupid reason (lol) but the moment I laughed my hardest was in 7th grade and this one guy, who my best friend and I had a major crush on at the time, took off his jacket and wrapped it around his waist while dropping his water bottle. Who knows how that was so funny, but our middle school minds let us laugh for 10 minutes straight

Thanks so much! laugh I hope your application goes well smiley I started Disability Support up on the Teen side back in May as a Teen Support Team Star (Teen version of Support Room Mentor), but that'd be great if you'd like to help out! I currently lead weekly discussions pertaining the topic smiley

@Laura

Hmm that's a great question because I love it for all kinds of reasons! The Disability Support Community (at least for the Teens) is super small but they're all extremely important people and their story definitely deserves to be shared smiley I think my favorite thing overall about the Community is how strong they are despite their disabilities heart
