Is your health condition an obstacle in dating people?
Hello everyone!!
I came across a question asked in the Q&A section, it asked if people would date someone disabled. The question shocked me in itself, in my head i would not even guess that it is something to wonder about. For that reason i've reflected and now i would ask you if someone's health condition or disability is really an obstacle in dating.
* Do you feel that people do not approach you to date you for your health condition?
* Have you found any obstacle in dating someone you wanted to get closer to?
* What are the main stereotypes you have to face when you try to build relationships ?

It is difficult to even bring up the fact that have to take meds or what to do, or not do, if I happen to have a siezure. Epilepsy is not visual so I don't want to suprise someone when I space out or tremble all of the sudden. I feel like, will they run? Will they think I'm broken? Should I not say anything and hope for the best? In the end, relationships are built on honesty and trust. If you're honest and they are shallow enough to let That be the reason not to date you, they are not worth it.
Yes, absolutely. I can't drive or work so I'm basically useless to most people.
Its definately difficult. Im not sure whats worse, when a someone ignores my condition or when they are over interested. Im also overly open, because ive had to be and im pretty sure this makes him feel uncomforatable.
