One of Disability movement leaders passed on 11/30 honoring hale zukes

Just recently the disability community lost of early leaders of the disability movement.

Hale Zukes was one of very first people with physical disability that went to school at uc Berkeley .

Where there while uc Berkeley he help with getting the needs meet for students with disabilities on the campus. He also foundered the Physically Disabled Students Program.

In 1972 he founded the center of independence living center to help people with disabilities get services they need.

He also took part of protects in Washington DC for disability rights.

He also was on 3 committees to better public transportation for people disabilities like for train company and bus company.

He also worked on disability act of 1990.
