Feb 2 is Rheumatoid Awareness Day

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic disorder which is likely autoimmune. People often think of arthritis as being a joint condition, and joint pain especially of the fingers and toes is a typical symptom, but it can also affect organs including the eyes, lungs and heart. Fever and fatigue are also common symptoms.

This disorder affects people of all ages and females are more likely to have it. While it's not a genetic disease, there are hereditary factors.

Rheumatoid arthritis can be treated with anti-inflammatories, a class of medications called Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and biologics.

Very helpful! I didn't know much about it, and it's always great to learn something new!
