Coping is so, so important for all disabilities. Personally, I am (very) fortunate that I don't have a disability; unless you count Tourette's Syndrome, but that's just minor compared to most cases. I cope with Tourette's by trying to relax or distract my mind from thinking about tics. I also limit my caffeine intake as well as eating healthy, as this helps the suppression of tics. Other than that, I do everything else as everyone else does! As far as coping with day-to-day life and school, relaxation techniques are honestly the best with self-care in general smiley Excited to hear others' answers!

I do what I can when I can, I have severe arthritis and sometimes pain is unbearable, and also prolonged standing is hard, my leg muscles tend to give out randomly, I haven't been to dr. To get a diagnosis, too much going on to do that now, but coping with that is ok for me but my family seem to think I am lazy ,but I rest when I need and sometimes I just can't get out of bed. It's difficult, I also have 2 children in elementary school.

I like to help other people as making other people's day better makes me feel a little better about myself. It's a bit of a distraction but it makes me feel like I am worth something in my own small way. At the moment I do listening to help people so I don't even have to face leaving the comfort of my house. It might be a small thing but small things still make a big difference!

How do I cope with my disabilities? I stay out of my parents way. We've made certain ares of the house off limits, due to getting hurt easily.

I cope with my mild intellectual disability is to be myself and be the best as I can be.
