Today, I was thinking about the positive side of disability. I have been a part of the disabled community for the majority of my life, and I have always tried to focus on the positive rather than the negative. My vision has been deteriorating throughout most of my life, and now I have very low vision and probably don't even use it much. And yeah, it's a bummer. But I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for this, and I like the person I am today. Because of my disability, I do not depend on vision or visual cues when communicating, and this has made me an excellent listener. What are some positives you can think of about your disability?

Aw hey hey, so lovely to meet you and come across such a positive mindset. It's soooo difficult to even accept and embrace disabilities sometimes, to look at it positively and finding something bright about it is absolutely commendable. Keep on being the inspirational you, that you are, and yesss, while your disability does not define you, your experience with it sure contributed to you being the empathetic, strong, thoughtful individual that you are today, and you indeed should be proud of yourself. More power to you!💛

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou thanks I'm a pretty positive person in general, so that does help.
