Coping with Fatigue

Fatigue is associated with many conditions. Does anyone have any coping tips for dealing with this?

I find I get bored and just feel miserable when I'm so tired that I don't have the concentration to watch tv.

I know how you feel. I have Dysautonomia, its a nerve disorder. I deal with fatigue constantly and it sucks. I have found that drinking a lot of water, or anything with electrolytes helps. Dehydration can make fatigue so much worse!! Also, try to stretch or do yoga when you get up. Even a little movement can make a difference (:

If I'm too worn out to watch tv or a movie, sometimes listening to something like a podcast or book on tape where I can close my eyes is useful.

Not sure what to do on the days when I don't have the energy for that type of concentration. Maybe I should seek out what exists for 5 minute segments :)

@AffyAvo

I have chronic fatigue associated with rheumatoid arthritis and it's the worst symptom as it can be debilitating and there's nothing much that helps so it's frustrating. I survive on energy drinks, caffeine, resting where possible but I haven't found a great solution yet!

@Willow88 Yeah, the only real solution I have found is to rest lots. Life doesn't always allow that to happen though.

Getting long nights of sleep sometimes helps. Sometimes it doesn't. Eating well and excercising and not pushing myself to be too busy can help when I'm not in an episode of fatigue, but when I am fatigued I've just got to wait it out.
