Struggling
My illness is clouding my judgment. I woke up with an attack and while I thought some of it likely was, I didn't realize the extent of this.
I'm still not comfortable self-treating although I can at least usually do it alone if necessary.
Why is this so hard?
@AffyAvo
That's not cool!! Argh, what a spoil from beauty sleep.
@CarpetLovesU Thanks!
I'm doing better with all the self-treatment stuff but it can still be hard to recognize an attack to treat it ASAP when I'm out of it so I can treat it promptly. It's scary how often they hit in my sleep, I know of others who have died because of it :(
@AffyAvo
Now, is it like a nocturnal seizure?
@CarpetLovesU No, it's swelling. Attacks can hit anywhere but for me it's often my throat. It's due to hereditary angioedema.
@AffyAvo

And, what the hell do docs suggest you do? Better not be that: "eat healthy" kind of cliche advice.
My friend's seizures are worsened by her snoring.
What helps you get thru the night?
