What's your own personal "kick-starter" that helps you begin your day? Here's mine!
Hey all!
As someone with spastic cerebral palsy, I'm all too aware for myself of what I like to call my morning grind--especially in the Winter. And as per all of us (and especially those with disabilities), sleep is so paramount to how we feel when we awake, and extends to the rest of our day.
So my own kick-starter, so to speak, is something like this:
1. I open my eyes from sleeping and half-jokingly pray to the presumably non-existent (for me ha) gods of sleep that I got enough for the day.
2. I take stock of how my body feels/is going to feel on that day.
3. I take care of the biological morning necessities (bathroom, meds, protein shake, teeth, etc).
4. Presuming I left myself enough time, I cue up a meditation on my digital audio player.
5. After however long the meditation lasts, I then start my day.
So yeah, what do you all do every morning/day that gets/keeps you going?

Great question!
I like to sort of plan my day out the night before so that when I wake up, I can get started right away.
First, I start off with a little caffeine to get my mind going and then exercise before work. That way, I am already ahead by the time I get on my way to work lol.

That sounds like a pretty awesome routine!
With my body, the plans I make in advance (or even just the night previously) are often ultimately decided *by* my body--whether I like or not, lol. Still though, I think there would be more value for me than I realize in terms of planning out my days in advance more--even if I don't get around to everything the next day.
@sereneSunset26 My kick-starter is definitely yoga
@comfortableNight4463
I hear that's a great way to stay flexible and in shape. As well as reaping the mental health benefits as well.
A few months ago, I was on a yoga kick (that lasted for all of a few weeks, ha), particularly with Yoga with Adrienne's YouTube channel. Unfortunately, I didn't stick with it as it's really easy for me to fall in and out of habits.
So I guess I wanna ask, what types of benefits have you seen for yourself since you've been doing yoga?
I tend to ease into it rather than kick start ot. Unless there's a medical emergency or something.
Every day is a bit different. If showering in the morning/early afternoon I always sit for a bit afterwards so zi don't wear myself out just from getting ready for the day.
