ED thoughts are so loud

The more effort I put into recovery, the louder my thoughts get. They are loud and confusing. Even if I try and discount them I just end up arguing with myself which makes everything louder and I'm so trapped in my head.

@Kgauthier12 - I can definitely relate! I know one thing I struggled with a lot in recovery was being able to identify which thoughts were even the 'right' or 'healthy' ones and which were the ED. One thing that helped me a lot was to take some time after the fact to reflect back on what my brain was saying and divide it into ED thoughts and Real Anomalia thoughts and to write down the Real Anomalia thoughts to reflect on later. The more I was able to focus on those, the more they were able to start to get louder and drown out the ED thoughts, bit by bit.

It's not easy, and it's not fast, but you can get through this and ditch those voices! And if you need any extra support, don't hesitate to reach out. Take care and be strong!

@Kgauthier12 I found in my recovery, the closer I got to beating some big milestone (like challenging a fear food or restaurant), my ED thoughts got really loud. I though of it as my ED getting mad at my healthy self..my healthy self was winning, so my ED was trying its best to fight back!

@Kgauthier12 It sounds like it's really hard for you at the moment - although I'd like to say, you're incredibly strong going through all of this! Keep going, keep fighting! <3 7cups is here for you
