Bad start to a day... I'm wondering if I should deny myself food.

So it's time for breakfast. I'm hungry, but I am obese. I feel like I don't deserve to eat. I really want to eat. But I don't feel like I'm allowed.

@JulyStorm - Those feelings of 'deserving' or 'worthy' are tough ones, because they feel like they're all about weight, but I think often they cut deeper and need to be explored and challenged. What would you tell a friend who was thinking they didn't deserve to eat because of their weight? Would you agree, or would you think that they absolutely deserve to fuel their body, no matter what shape or size it is?

The other thing I'll say is that not eating is pretty dangerous - I've found that restricting tends to actually lead to more binging later, because your body and mind get worried they're being starved and grab anything they can, as opposed to focusing on eating normal, healthy meals and avoiding a binge by letting your body have what it needs.
