Can someone please help me in a triggering situation?
Hi there, I'm wondering if someone can help give me advice. I am in recovery from an eating disorder and still have awful feelings about gaining weight. I have been very open to one friend about my struggles. She will now constantly talk to me about how badly she wants to gain weight and that it's stupid that no one wants to listen to how a skinny girl wants to gain weight. We are about the same weight. I feel she constantly tries to talk about it only around me and it triggers me. It makes me feel like she is trying to be better than me and be in competition with me. She talks about these things on Twitter which she said she only uses to communicate with me really. She doesn't have a lot of followers besides me, so her talking about weight seems like it's for me to see. I don't know if I want to stop being friends with her but I almost want to block her on twitter so I don't think she's trying to make me feel bad. I don't want to hurt or feelings or know if I want to end the friendship or know how I could deal with the confrontation. What should I do?

Hello,
I’m sorry I can’t offer any advice.
However, it must be challenging to be triggered by your own friends.
It’s unfortunate that she brings up this topic around you.
I’m sorry for that.
I hope you two are able to work it out, as it is evident you care for her<3💛✨
@blueSummer5749 It sounds like talking to her about your struggles not to gain weight isn't helping you to get the support you need, and instead is making you feel worse. I'm hearing that you're unhappy with reading her Twitter posts, but are concerned that blocking her might cost you the friendship. It's up to you where to draw the line and how to enforce your boundaries.
