Weekly Journal Topics: Week of May 15th
Write a ‘Goodbye letter to your eating disorder:-
Hey there, Amazing people!
Im glad to see you stopping by,
We have come up with the idea of including weekly journal topics! These journal topics aim to:
✒ Allow one to better reflect their situation and circumstances.
✒ Gain a different perspective in how they may view the situation.
✒ Allow for further steps towards recovery and a growth mindset.
✒ Encourage individuals to consider daily Journaling in hopes of gaining better control over their emotions, positively coping during difficult times, and improve one's mental health.
This weeks journal topic is down below, feel free to reflect on it throughout the week, and let us know how it goes! I would encourage you to make a specific journal just for these weekly journal topics, personalize it! Jazz it up a bit, make it YOURS.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you say goodbye, theres no meeting them again!
This type of letter might include things about your eating disorder that you have liked, or enjoyed such as a sense of control or temporary anxiety relief, as well as a list of negative things about that eating disorder that holds you back in life. It might also include details on the goals you have for recovering from it, and the plans you have on achieving those goals.
For people who like to draw:-
If you feel creative, give it a visual representation, since we all know an eating disorder isnt you, but what you struggle with. It will never be you, as much as it tries to consume your healthy voice, you are you.
Feel free to share your letter with all of us, that is if you're comfortable with it!
Hoping to see you next week with another journal topic!
Happy Journaling!

I like to journal but I often don't know where to begin. So now I will have a prompt. This is tres good for me! Merci! ~ Platy
P.S. I'll try to let you know how it goes, but I highly doubt I'll be posting the whole letter/entry.
@cyanPlatypus6370
I'm really happy to hear that you now have a prompt to help you begin Journaling!
Of course! We would love to hear how it goes, you don't need to post the entire letter, that's all up to you! But thank you for letting us know that it's something you find interest in.
Happy journaling!

I sort-of did this last year when I wrote a love letter to my body:

This is a really cool idea. Also it reminded me of this amazing way of writing a letter to yourself in the furture, that arrives in your email box on the day you decide for it too. If anyone is interested: https://www.futureme.org/
