Struggling with my body.

I have anorexia and I’ve been in treatment for more than 4 years. It’s been already one year and a half when I was discharged from the hospital.

Lately I’ve been feeling really obsessive with my body, and I feel as if I gained a lot of weight. I know that I associate the fact of being fat with being rejected, not loved and abandoned, but I’ve been trying to work with the psychologist this a lot but… I feel like if I am fat nobody will accept or love me (not friends and less boys), even I think people will laugh at me.

The aspect of how I see myself is not getting better, actually it might be going worse and I am starting getting tired of fighting against my body and trying to control it but I can’t control it seriously.

I am quite desperate and I don’t know what else to do to accept my body and stop judging it and hating it.

I would love to live a life accepting my body the way it is.

Thanks a lot for reading me! I need it to express it🥺.

@IamBrighterEnough

🥺

💕💜

Thank you for sharing and trusting us.

It's not easy to talk about, and no matter how many people tell us we are not fat, we are beautiful, if we do t feel it within ourselves , we'll never believe it.

Societal pressure is massive , for us to always look perfect.

It's unrealistic.

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and it's about embracing who you are and looking in that mirror and telling yourself you are enough the way you are, until you believe it 💜💕

Thank you so much for taking tine to write this answer to my message. All you say it’s completely true, but It’s also exhausting how many times I have to repeat to myself that I am beauty and enough without believing it.

Thanks a lot for your answer! I really appreciate it ♥️🙌🏽✨

Hello lovely 💕

Thank you for being so open and sharing what you’re going through. It’s really brave of you, and it shows how much strength you already have.

I hear how exhausting it feels to fight with your body all the time, and how much you wish you could find peace. That’s such a human wish, and you deserve it.

One thing that might help is focusing less on how your body looks and more on what makes you feel cared for — moments that bring joy, food you genuinely enjoy, clothes that feel comfy or empowering. Sometimes, even asking friends or family to write down the qualities they admire about you can be really uplifting. It’s amazing to be reminded of how others see us beyond our bodies 💜

Please be gentle with yourself. Struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re still healing, and that’s okay. Keep leaning on your therapist and the people who love you, because you don’t have to carry this on your own.

Sending you a big hug and lots of love 🌸

I’m here if you need to talk.
