Unhealthy relationship with food
My New Year’s resolution is to get myself to a healthy weight but I suffer with two challenges. The first being I’m an emotional eater and the next one being that I’m scared of food. I know my body needs it but I just feel scared to eat. I can’t help but count every calorie. If I even think I ate more than the calories I allow myself to eat then I won’t let myself eat nearly anything for a day or so. I can’t help but feel as if food is the enemy at times. I’ve never have had a healthy relationship with food. When I was younger it felt as if it was the only thing I had and it became this crutch but now I’m trying to work through that but I find myself on the opposite spectrum of completely not slowing myself to eat. I know I physically can but I just can’t get passed this mental barrier. I’ve barely eaten in the past 3-4 days. I literally probably only eat a small bowl of soup or a slice of pizza but I feel so guilty that I won’t allow myself to eat until the next day.

Hi, You're not alone. I have struggled with an eating disorder in the past as well. I have overcame it. A lot of famous stars have also struggled with eating disorders too. I saw that Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga both have struggled with an eating disorder in the past. I know you can over come this eating disorder in 2024. 🙂 You can do it. Try to eat at least 2 meals a day and 2 snacks. 😊 I would suggest you joining some virtual eating disorder support groups and also get a dietitian.
This is what Taylor swift said about having an eating disorder. “I thought I was just supposed to feel like I was gonna pass out at the end of a show or in the middle of it. Now I realize, now, if you eat food, have energy, get stronger, you can do all these shows and not feel it."
