Introduce yourself to the 7 Cups Eating Disorder Community!
Hi, my name's Jasper, and I've had an eating disorder since I was 11. My 'obsession' with calories has recently gotten a lot worse, and I'm here because I'm scared.
@jasper0724
I've been there. I guess I am still kind of there. It's weird how a number can have such an affect on us- how our own self image can impact our decisions. You are strong, okay? There is a beautiful part of your mind and soul that lives on and is more powerful than the negativity.
Hello, I am 20 years old and I've been bulimic since I was 16. It's stupid because it started because I wanted to be pretty and skinny but now I know I am tryin to fill an emotional void within me. I hate it and I've tried to stop but the control and the full feeling just comforts me in a way or distracts me. It's stupid and takes up too much time.
Hello, I'm Jerry, I'm 16. I've had an eating disorder since I was a child: I really don't remember a time I didn't struggle with it. I was only diagnosed when I was 14, with anorexia, and tried to recover, but relapsed before I even really got started… it got worse this spring, and it wasn't till a couple of weeks ago, that I had a little "wake up call", and started recovery, now taking it much more seriously, than two years ago. I have a lovely friend now, who wants to do her best to help me: her support means so much to me
I'm here out of curiosity, really: I'm open to all kinds of possibilities this community brings! I wanna get better, and maybe this could help
Hello, my name is Petra. I've been restricting for as long as I can remember but my eating disorder really set in when I was 11. I have swung from anorexia to BED to atypical anorexia to exercise bulimia and I am in recovery. I just want to be done with the whole thing.
My name is Emerson... I don't know if/think I have an eating disorder, since I've only lost 10 pounds and I'm still "healthy" but I'm stuck in a vicious restriction/bingeing cycle. It started end of August/beginning of September.
@EmersonHasPlants I am no therapist but that cycle is so mentally taxing and it is completely valid to call it an E.D, diagnoses or not. I know exactly what you are living though
Hi, I am new here so I do not really know what to say.
But I have some kind of eating disorder since 13 old 14 y.o. It started with orthoroxia, then anorexia and well, now I am fighting with binge eating.
I lost 12kg and after that I have gained 20kg. I feel awful. Food is not the biggest problem, I do powerlifting so I know how to eat and when. But I am fighting with myself now. I lit hate the way I look. I feel gross, too big and unattractive. It has started to impact my relationship.
And people around me are still telling me things like: "Arent u bigger?" "You have bigger butt then the last time we met. " "You are eating a lot, right?"
And these words really hurts and after that I lose control of myself and eat everything even when I know that this behaviour will make everything worse!
Hey everyone. My name is Kenna and im 20 years old. I have struggled with body issues for as long as i can remember. Ive never been officially diagnosed with an eating disorder, but im coming to the realization that i might have one. I am very fixated on my weight and the numbers on the scale. I am barely eating anything during the day, maybe a couple hundred calories. I havent told anyone in my life about this or that im struggling. No one knows except yall now. I hope to hear your stories and what you think of mine. I need all the support i can get.
Hi there, my name is Anton. I am 24 years old. I am looking to find someone around my age (In there 20's) to talk about my eating disorder with.
I have bullimia and though sometimes it goes away and I don't think about it, this week I have thrown up after eating three times. Years ago it used to be quite frequently. I thought it was only a once in awhile thing until this week when I made myself puke as much as I did.
Also, I spit food ALL THE TIME. I'm pretty open about it and do it infront of people sometimes. I just like the feeling of shoving things in my mouth but my stomach capacity is pretty limited and I'm deathly afraid of being fat.
Also, throwing up gives me a bit of a rush so I do it for that too.
I know it is really bad for my health so that's why today I saught out a forum. Let me know if anyone who has an eating disorder would like to talk about it and get off it with me. Thanks.
Hi everybody. My name is Monica, 38 y/o and I have had an ED since 2017. I have struggled with my weight since childhood. In 2016 I started to exercise which took a lot of the weight off and people have started to notice and compliment me so I wanted to go further and lose more. I already hit a plateau where simple exercise and healthy diet does not do anything more and that’s when I turned to purging. I lost at least 5 kg more. However in 2019, I developed GERD which is very uncomfortable. I think it may have been an effect of all the purging I did. Now, I am suffering and even when I wanted to eat a lot, I can’t because I get full too fast. In a way, I am happy that I can’t eat a lot but on the other hand I also feel jealous of other people who can eat so much without giving a damn to their weight. Sometimes I feel lonely because I can’t talk to anybody about how I feel. I am embarrassed to tell my parents or my husband about my ED because they may judge me and blame me for how I feel. I just want to feel that I fit in. It gets really lonely sometimes.
Hi, I'm Eden. I've had Bulimia for about a year now and recently it's been getting worse, I feel like everything I do, doesn't help.
