Hello :]]

I am 21years old and have struggled with some sort of disordered eating since i was 14, first just binge eating, then bulimia, then restricting w/bulimic tendencies. I have not acting on my urges for a little over a year now :]] I love to knit,go on hikes with my boyfreind (any thing outdoors)and plays sims 3. I live with my boyfriend (who is extreamly supportive, and is the one who gave me a safe place to heal) my Pug Bella Ellaand our friend and his dog.

For the most part I feel oky with my eating habits and food related descions. But when we do alot of heating out or are running low on food in the house I have to really fight myself not to restrict or purge.I am aware that i will deal with the consequences for a very long time but i really wish i could just eat. just eat.

Well this becamea longer than i thought :P

Hey :) :)

My name is Daniel and I'm 15 years old. I've had disordered eating habits since I was 12. When I was 14 I got up to 270 lbs and I decided it was time to lose weight. Some of that weight was with good old veggies and exercise but the other wasn't. But now I have lost 75 lbs and happy. I'm in therapy for my eating disorder and many supportive friends. I'm 16 pounds from my goal weight and I'm going tolose all that mental baggage when I lose this. In the end of this journey I will be as healthy and happy as I possibly can. Something we all can do. Stay strong and keep fighting the good fight. I believe in you xoxo

Hi I'm Sally and I'm 32 years old. I started eating junk food when I was 12 and preparing for the national exams for high school. I got hooked for a year, I got better after the exam. I returned to my habit at 19, again while preparing the national exams for college, I got addicted to any food containing monosodium glutamat, like instant soups and chips. The next year, while in college, I developed allergies and I was advised to go cold turkey with all processed food. I was eating 3x80 gr chocolate-alikes a day, also chips, jelly beans, instant soups. I went cold turkey, my allergies disappeared. After a while I returned to eating only good quality dark chocolate, a bite a day. I was lucky, I was living with my parents, ate well during the meals, had an active life. That's why I never had real concerns about it.

Now I'm living with my husband and I eat when I'm stressed. We eat well if we eat together, otherwise he doesn't seem to care until my size starts to change, and lately I'm stressed all the time. When we quarrel during a meal, I don't get full either. I ate an hour ago and I'm terribly hungry. I try to drink tea instead of eating when stressed but it's not the same thing, isn't it?

I understand fully, when you get stressed and only want to eat food try other outlets. Try and try other outlets until you find one. Food and eating problems are the darkest place you can go. Unfortunately our drugof choice is necessary to our survival :/

Food is one of the hardest addictions. Everyone eats, its socialand most people enjoy it. It can remind you of good time or bad.Sometimes i start with out even knowing it. watching t.v. and i want asnack that turns in to not being able tostop. One thing i findto help me with my binging isto take time to write (or just say inside my head) how I feel or what emotions i have tide behind why i am wanting a certain food and also "food will NOT change how I feel or change (what ever is making you upset). It gives me the time not to be hasty and give in and also reminds me of why and why i should't hide behind food.

Also i always get a portion and put the rest back i the cabneit in a bag or with a rubber band/clip it make me get up and the opprtunity to think about it.

Certain teas can have good effect on your ceratona (sp?)levels pomegranategreen tea is one of my favorites. But if you going towards tea as a subsitute for solid food yes it sadly is. I use to binge onwater because its better than junk food but all in all i was drinking water for the wrongreasons and i would get head achs and feel realllydizzy after drink a ton of water ( not sure exactly how much but at least 5-6 large cup in the course of an hour)

My thoughts are with you & Be strong:]]

Hi my name is Ivett and I'm 18 years old. I don't know if i have an eating disorder or not. I've just been really stressed and haven't been eating well due to that. I was at a healthy weight for my height and now I'm underweight and it's upsetting me because none of my jeans fit me!!! I look like I'm 12 again. I just want my old weight back :( I have chicken legs now

Hi Ivett, I completely understand those moments when you're trying to find pants and other clothes that fit and don't highlight how skinny you are. I've been dealing with the same issues, and I'm trying therapy now to change my eating habits. All the best to you.

Hola.
