Hello. I'm not entirely sure how to do this but, my name is Alicia and I wish to join the eating disorder community because I know there's something wrong with me and my parents refuse to help by the belief that I am doing it for attention or for a boy. My parents are positive that I'm stupid and an attention whore. I can't turn to them for anything even when they say I can because every time I cry they yell at me to stop because I'm just doing it for their pity apparently. More to my life in not entirely comfortable sharing but the thing said explain what your life is like so, there's a little bit.
Hi there, Alicia :) I'm really sorry to hear that your parents have not been understanding of what's going on, but I promise you that there are people here who have been where you are and really do get it. If it would help to talk, don't hesitate to reach out to me, and I hope that you find the support you're looking for here
@Lunewayah
hello, i
@zayns Hii! Its so nice of you to break the stigma for a guy to struggle with an ED! Im 25 and just started to become bulimic. I want some advice as well. In my case, its not really about the weight but control... I became addicted to binge eating and purging once a day. Like I always have to plan that in my schedule. Im a law student and also need the energy and brains to get through my studies but Im lonely and dont fit in. I wish I could help too..
@ivoryWillow66 i appreciate the reply, seems like we

Hi there, it's my second day online here, I've had eating disorder for some years now and I just want to get support and help fighting it... It's even hard to say out loud that I even have an eating disorder mostly because I didn't realized it
I'm proud of you for acknowledging that it is a problem and that you want support - that's not easy to do, but it is a really important step! What do you think are the biggest blocks in your way right now? What sort of support would be most helpful for you?
@TheWriter93
Like someone else said: New to the app, but not the community. I've struggled for a couple years now with disordered eating. In middle school I got bullied really badly and developed BED to cope. After Freshman year I hit my highest weight @ 270 (For reference I'm 5'10") and decided I was going to be healthy and lose some weight... Unfortunately I didn't lose that weight in any healthy way. I wish I had. Food never stopped being the enemy I was just switching extremes. Food still feels like my enemy now, and I have good and bad days where I eat normally or very little or not at all or I binge. Binging has been really bad lately but I'm maintaining at 170 now and I really want to focus on my health and fitness and try and deal with my disordered habits. It's not something I can talk about freely with anyone in my life, so I hope that by reaching out to communities of people who can relate, I can talk about my experiences (as weird or as gross or whatever they are) without fear of being judged or ridiculed.
Hey, I'm Sam. I've been struggling with an eating disorder for almost six years now and today it's gotten to a point where I couldn't handle it anymore. I need to get help, but I'm too scared to talk to this about my therapist. I can't talk about it face to face with people...
I'm Delta, I'm coming up on 34 years old, and I struggle with binge eating.
I am poly/pan and kinky, a year into being vegan, and I can't seem to stop stuffing my face like that will solve all my problems.
I don't know what to do right now, I don't know what help I'm looking for here, I just know that I need to connect to someone.
Hi, i'm Lou. I suffer with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. It's really hard trying to find people that understand what BDD is. People just think I am vain and self centered
Hi, i'm Nuts, 28. Suffering from bulimia for about a decade now. I feel that my disease arises from stress and loneliness and I can't find anyone to understand me.
hey, I am new as well here, don't know exactly hoe everything works so far, I would really love to find someone to talk to. I am Anna and 25, I recover from anorexia/bulimia and I am in therapy but only twice a month I see someone, I have the feeling that it might be missing some extra, which I hope can be found here.
Anyway let me know if someone is interested in chatting and sharing a little bit..
regards A.
Hi, I'm Liv. I just joined here but I've been suffering from anorexia off and on since I was 8, so about 13 years now. Really struggling lately due to some trauma and just hoping to meet some people who understand here. :)
