Always emotionally dependant on my partner and seeking attention from her all the time and depressed, anxious
Hi Everyone,
I got married more than a year now, and i always see my wife puts most of the priorities above me.. i did everything i could to show love from my side and expected same from her which she is not concerned about. I does everything for her.. take her to all vacations, does chores in home, try to communicate n expect some affection from her.. all she does is throw some sarcasm at every statement i say, talk only when necessary, body shames me.. i did notify her several times.. about how I feel. She ignores it saying I am overthinking.. when I am away from her she doesn't show interest in calling or messaging me.. even i try doing that we quarell in 5mins of conversation.. I am not sure how to deal with this anymore..
Hello Greenmail’s on I’m so very sorry this is happening in your relationship. If you are trying to speak to your wife about how you feel and she doesn’t want to perhaps she has something she is dealing with and unfortunately taking it out on you. Perhaps you could speak with a marriage councillor and they could help you find ways to deal with it. It would be great if your wife went with you but I still think it would be good for you even in your own. Living with what you are dealing with takes a toll on you so you don’t want to pulled down . I wish you luck and again so sorry you have to feel this way.
I’m sorry to hear this. Sending you love!

I am in a similar situation with my boyfriend. 99% of the time, I am the one giving him compliments, attention, asking him how I can make him happy, doing all the chores in the house... And I get pretty much nothing in return, even though I brought the topic to his attention multiple times.
He just replies that I'm overthinking as well, and that he's just not very good at showing attention or affection.
I think I personally would feel more at peace if I wasn't so emotionally dependent on him, so I am considering therapy for that. In any case, you are not alone... BIG hug!
