Controlling family
My dad passed away and my aunt has taken over everything since my mom is stuck in nursing home. She won’t let us leave this house till it’s winterized but we need to find a safer place to live and jobs. I was adopted out and moms lawyer with free advise said the place is my aunts problem but she made us sign papers saying we had to stay to winterize. Then she added we have to stay to pack things. No it’s her job cuz we need to find our own place and jobs where it’s safe. She only cares my mom lost someone but doesn’t care I lost my dad and what bad things happened to me last few years... lots of abuse from ex husband and other family members and tells me to get over it. I been through every abuse you can think of so how the hell do you get over that. She won’t give me time for peace to grieve and to heal

I am so sorry for the loss of your father and for all of the trauma you've experienced recently. It sounds like you are feeling enormous pressure from your aunt. I'm not sure I understand why she is putting such pressure on you to pack and to winterize the house when you are planning to move. Ans, telling you to get over how you are feeling is so hurtful and invalidating. I can see how, on top of all you have experienced, that is causing you stress which isn't giving you time to grieve for your losses.
She’s power of attorney of my mom so when we move they are going to sell the house. My aunt has been rude and fishy since day 1 and we do have proof of that. The most disturbing thing is she took my dads wallet and said she taking it straight to mom but she never did and mom asked where it’s at. I called my aunt out on it and she was very rude and said nothing is my business. Ok fine we are moving and won’t help her at all. I don’t wanna be part of what she’s up to. Yes I’ve told my mom everything so she’s wAtching her closely. Even the bank won’t put my aunt on her account so bank finds her fishy too

It all sounds pretty fishy. Does your family have any legal recourse? Maybe changing the power of attorney?
