Narcissistic family and environment
Hi I'm the first born of our family struggling with a narcissistic immediate family from my mom and dad together with my 3 siblings. They have and continue to abuse me emotionally. I recently found the will to do something with my life despite my depression and their constant condemnation. They expect me to be always available and ready to help them which they never appreciate and constantly lament about how I am not giving them the attention they deserve and that I'm selfish. There is a lot of emotional abuse going on continuously from childhood to date I figured instead of harm I am worth being happy and stress free. I realised that they would just blame me for harming and that I never showed any signs and I'm now burning in hell. These so called family doesn't care about me and don't hesitate to show me through their actions. It is stressful that my mother is angry at me for not providing a lot of support to raising my siblings yet I still have a father who is currently rejecting his duties and moved far away and never checks on us. I am forced to carry out a duty that should have been his. Long story short I'm just tired of them and want to leave. I am starting my own business with no skills or money whatsoever. It has not yet sold anything which is frustrating because I badly want to move out but not to be homeless I don't know how I can improve the situation because these people constantly feed my suicide thoughts and I don't want to harm myself I just want space to breath. I haven't met a single soul that would listen not even my parents and siblings as long as I do everything to make them comfortable.
Thank you for sharing this with us here.
I can empathize with that for sure. It's a tricky situation and it's easy to feel stuck, but the best I can advise right now is to stay positive and work on exploring your talents ! Everyone has some and once you find out more it gives you more of a purpose, stay strong you're definitely not alone
