Thinking Back on Our Parents
Often times growing up I had a lot of disagreements with my parents on how they were raising me with certain rules, etc. Yet as an adult now I look back and I begun to appreciate a lot of what my parents did even when at that age I might not have enjoyed it. For example, one thing my parents would always make me do is reiterating my mistakes on my tests and problem sheets at school (even if I did relatively well on the assignment). I remember as a child I hated that and I thought it was a waste of time, but as someone who is now entering graduate school I see my habit of being thorough and looking for mistakes in my work stemmed from that leading into a good work ethic.
What are somethings you appreciate your parents did for you, even when back then you may not have enjoyed it?
@sunnyWriting4806 I appreciate that my parents never spoiled us. I hated it back then but now I know the importance of money and how to handle my finances!
I know what you mean its like they were trying to instill morals
