First of all, kudos to you for making the decision to be away from the abusive environment and choosing yourself. It's very understandable for you to still care and miss them. It shows how nice of a person you are when you can still remember the good times even after everything that happened. It says everything about your strength of love you had towards them, even if what you recieved in return was toxicity. And seems like you already have your family, the person who have been there with you through it all, your husband with you.

Sending both of you lots of strength. 🤍

@passionateEyes6948, I am so sorry to hear how deeply you have been impacted by the treatment of your family, as someone who grew up in a toxic household you have my deepest empathy and condolences. I know the process of cutting contact is hard and those feelings of grief hit hard and unpredictably, but please give yourself as much grace as possible and remember that this is the best option for not just your ability to thrive and live happily but to stay safe as well.

Cutting contact with loved ones is never easy but it is possible and you WILL come out of this stronger than you could ever predict.

Take care of yourself and surround yourself with as much love and support as you can during this time🫂❤️
