Finding Friends is Hard
Anyone else have the hardest time making friends?? I know I’m a big part of the problem, but I see other people who have friends and do fun things together and it’s hard not to compare. I am so afraid of being seen or being authentic that I sabotage my ability to build connections with others. It’s so scary to let others see the real you.

Hey there relate with you a lot. For me its a problem of not putting myself out there enough and spending way too much time in my comfort zone. I also find a challenge of not being yourself when you meet people but I think that's okay, my closest friends all started off with some simple light talk but then gradually evolved into having deep meaningful discussions with each other.

It definitely is difficult if you are an introvert, low self esteem, etc. I have found in the past that it is much easier to make connections with those online...you?

Hi, I understand your feelings, it’s a hard time not having friends. When I just came to America, I had no friend at all, and it’s also a new place for me, I know nothing about it. It’s was a super hard time for me. But after a year, I made some friends, but it feels like I have nothing to talk with them anymore, when I saw my friends talking happily with other people, i feel envy. But now i find out that they are just not the right friend for me. So i guess you can try to find friends that have a same hobby as you or have the same interests.
