Help Dealing With This Situation
For the sake of this story, I will be replacing the people involved with fruit.
I have been dealing with this situation since July and since then, I feel that it's only worsened. One of my online (now ex)-friends, Orange started a campaign back in July, it's important to note that he lives in a country that requires you to do National Service.
Orange was aware that he would have National Service in July and how busy majority of us would be during the summer but still chose to go on with this, with has led to many issues requiring scheduling. Admittedly, I was a little jealous how Orange chose another person, Cherry to co-dm in this campaign despite telling me about it first (including major spoilers that no one else knew at the time).
From then on, it's been a down spiral of poor planning, lack of communication, etc. I myself ended up dropping out early because Orange had poor communication when it came to discussing when my own player character would come in. Following these issues, I talked with Orange many times about the problems I had and each time he promised to change but did not.
Last week, ended up being the straw that broke the camel's back as I asked him in advance to let me know when a session would be, so I don't over plan it, and he failed to let me know this time. I ended up hearing it from a mutual friend which made me feel as if Orange didn't care.
Jump to tonight, they have another session which I admittedly annoyed that Orange didn't tell me about this time even after I ended the friendship since outside of that, he's still acted completely friendly towards me. I'm starting to give up wanting to talk to him-at least until he can come to me first instead of me going to him like I did the last couple times.
Any thoughts or comments regarding this situation would be nice. If you need me to add information or answer questions, let me know in the replies.
