Advice?
My best friend of nine years has always been my number one confidant. Recently, she got a girlfriend and has been brushing me to the side and avoiding me. She also had to deal with some stuff over the summer. I’ve been trying my best to keep our friendship afloat but it’s hard if I’m the only one trying. Any thoughts?

Each friendship is different but many people go through this ... there are two ways to go be the person trying to keep afloat or giving her space until she adjusts past the new relationship phase ...
Many friends will take a break and then catch up and be good......... some do not. If you are reaching out often do you include her new partner in plans or get along with the GF?
Thanks for the reply. I’m friends with her gf. We’re all in the same circle but I think her gf is a bit weary of me? If that makes sense. My friend and I have always been really close and people in the past assumed that we’re dating or sisters or something. I dunno. It’s a weird thing I guess. I might try and ask if she wants to bring her girlfriend to the next movie night or something small like that.
Hi. Maybe try to talk about it with your friend? You can explain to her how you feel about the whole situation.
If that doesn't work you can distance for some time from her and then try to reconnect and see. I'm not a therapist tho just a mere han suffering from emotional pain and trying to get through life, so it's up to you to decide what is the best thing to do. I just hope it will work out in the best of ways for you both❤️❤️❤️ sending you big hugs❤️
@Deebsjr I'm sorry you're going through this. I know it's tough. Hope for the best. Maybe she will come around. But if not try your best to move forward. You deserve good, wholesome friendships :)
