Can't make friends

Hello, I struggled a bit to find out how to post on this thing (I hope it's suitable place to talk about that). However, I was homeschooled until the age of 17 and then it was my first year at high school and then i moved to college. I had hard time trying making friends and i had 1 relationship and found out later and she been in it as a challenge with her friends and i made zero friends through high school. Then, I got admission in a university and now studying computer science. Unfortunately im facing the same problem with making friends and i made no friends again.

Being homeschooled made my social and communication skills very poor and being agnostic surrounded by religious community both together made it hard to fit in.

My question is, how can i make friends? Or how everyone makes friends?

Do i need to have followers so that appears? I hope not, i tried posting that on reddit before but it got ignored. Anyway, i hope posting it here isn't weird.
