Friends.
I'm a 40 year old man have never really had any friends. And when I think I do I'm constantly betrayed. Just looking to connect with new people.

I'm a 55 yr old man have also been betrayed, but as soon as red flags are present in the friendship it's time to move on.
In my early 30s and as honest and as loyal as I tried to be, people who I thought were friends just left me when they felt like they had no use for me anymore. Stings and am here looking for good people who can be friends.
That's exactly how I feel. At work I've been friends with this person for 3 years. She just became my manager a little more than a month ago. I offered my help with something and she gave me the responsibility. Only to take it away the next day and give it to someone else. All without communicating with me it was poor management but also disrespectful as a friend who knew my past of being betrayed by others and now she avoids me at work making work so stressful to be at.
