Trying to figure out how to make friends

Making friends was way easier back when I was in school. Now that I'm a disabled adult, it's really hard. I've started to try to better myself, realized that people do care and are worth trusting. I don't want to be alone anymore.

I just wanna make some friends that are 18 or older. Preferably in their 30s or 40s.

Dear Beloved,

Understandably, making friends becomes difficult as an adult, especially when life circumstances are difficult. The fact that you have realized that people can be trusted and that you no longer want to be alone is a positive step.

You may consider joining communities or activities that interest you, such as sports, hobby clubs, or volunteering. You don’t need to make many friends. Even being around people and having conversations with them can gradually make you feel less alone. You can find people who appreciate you and accept you for who you are.
