having strict parents 💔
hi guys this is my first time being here and i wnated to talk about how having strict parents have completely ruined my social life,it’s really annoying cause now most of my friends don’t even like speaking to me or planning hangouts with me cause they know my parents will already say no and it’s annoying and mentally and physically draining idek what to do anymore

That can be a tough position to be in because we want to be like our friends and we want to be hanging out, and having fun, growing up.
Not missing out.
And our parents are trying to protect us because there are alot of bad intented people out there.
It's about creating a balance between both and perhaps chatting to your parents calmly about what their fears are 💙

@sharonteal I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. It can feel really isolating when your friends stop asking you to hang out because they already expect the answer to be no. That would be draining for anyone. I hope things get better for you and that you’re still able to find people who understand your situation and continue including you.
@sharonteal This is so relatable like they really don't see that they are somehow ruining our social life by trying to control our life naming it as protection. I mean I don't know about your parents but mine are kind of toxic, they are not bad but they don't to hear their kid's side too. I lost all my confidence to make friends or to talk with someone because of their controlling nature and like you said my friends now don't even ask me before making a plan for hangout because they know I'm not going to go. I'm tired both mentally and physically. I hope we soon get out of this feeling and live our life to it's fullest and not just survive. Take care😊
