A practical guide to what not to do
If life had a guidebook written entirely out of hard earned lessons, mistakes and unnecessary detours, what "don't" would you add to it?

@BlueDarkAurora Ooopsies I guess I mixed it up my do and don't on different page 😂😂😂 since I have posted my don't on do's page so I am going to post here do on don't page 🤣🤣🤣 it feels like a tongue twister 😭😂 Anyway, the do I would add is: Do one small thing each day that aligns your actions with the person you are becoming, even when no one is watching. 💛
@KindleMissie aww haha xD 💖 That's completely alright.
Working toward becoming your ideal self one step at a time is a sweet and genuine "do" in life :)

Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Don’t allow others words from the past define you as a person.
Don’t take love for granted.

Here's a few I've found with time...
- Don't tie yourself in knots trying to accommodate people who won't put in the same effort for you.
- Don't sacrifice your family, passions, or peace of mind for capitalism or for jobs that don't treat you with respect. (I'm in the trenches with this one right now but trying to find something new!)
- Don't wait for life to be perfect before you do things that make you happy. Try that new hobby even if you think you don't have time. Get yourself the little treat even if you think you don't deserve it. Take a mental health day from work every now and then.
Try not to be born into this world. If that happens to you, suffering is guaranteed...it is true no matter your color, gender, race or creed.
If you're unfortunate enough to be conceived, however...a few "don'ts" in no particular order:
- Don't spend whatever money you have left after paying your bills. Learn about investing. As you work for your money, investing is putting your money to work for you.
- Don't get into an unhealthy relationship with someone else. If you make the mistake of doing so, then for god's sake don't stay in it.
- After doing #2, don't wipe from back to front. That goes double for females.
- Don't wander around with your phone glued to your hand & your eyes tethered to the screen. As a phone addict not only will you miss a lot of what's happening around you, you also might as well wear a sign on your back that says "PLEASE MUG ME".
- If you want to be religious, fine. If not, then don't place your faith in any man-made ideology. Left, right, conservative, liberal, etc....all ideologies are basically inadequate lenses to view the world through. Ideology has no more basis in reality than religion; the difference is that ideology pretends it is objective reality itself. (Also, more people have been murdered due to ideologies than to any religion)
