No Internet?
Would civilization be better off if the internet had never been created?
@jesusredeemedme2425
I think not! :0
Everything has pros and cons, internet too xD but it's lowkey un-imaginable now, a world without the internet!😮
What are your thoughts on your genius question? <3
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I think the world would be better with internet, but without addiction O.O
@jesusredeemedme2425
Yes to that! Most things are better in moderation only, anything too much without being mindful and cautious becomes detrimental, for sure! O.o
@jesusredeemedme2425
Yes, addiction is the key word here. It's all about moderation and the intentions of the person using it 💜🥰
@jesusredeemedme2425
In that case, cups would have never existed and you wouldn't have had the chance to ask this question 😭🤣
@trueconfidant123
*mind explodes*
XD
@jesusredeemedme2425
I'm sorry 🥲😂
@trueconfidant123
Wouldn't be the first time XD

I think that the internet or something like it was inevitable in the course of the advancement of civilization. I remember life before the internet. I remember if we needed information, we had a set of encyclopedias at home or we had to go to the library. (For those of you too young, Encyclopedias were books sold in sets. Each book was a letter and contained information on different subjects for a particular year. The problem is that you had to get new encyclopedias each year for updated information and different companies included different information). There are many positives to the internet such as 7 Cups and ways to message people instantly around the world. However, there are many pitfalls also- too much information, news, etc. For every good intention, there are 5 bad ones. I also believe that eventually civilization will advance to the point where we will implode on ourselves and be forced to start over. Hopefully those in the future will learn from our mistakes.

It was an awesome invention, allowing us to meet people we would have otherwise never met 💜 I think seven cups aptly shows the great tool that the internet is, a safe and welcome place, non judgemental, a place where people can find comfort and support and not being alone but it's also a place where people feel more empowered to be rude, to troll, to say things they wouldn't otherwise say to your face, so it's about navigating through this and being selective 💜🥰
@Amanda84 could you imagine never meeting me😱
@Tinywhisper11 honestly, no, you are hilarious and make me laugh so much, I admire your character, your resilience, your heart, your honesty, im almost double your age but it doesn't feel it at all, we just click 💜
@Amanda84 age doesn't mean anything 💖 we are still besties💖

@Tinywhisper11
@cyanessence we love an academical matter 😁💜
*prepares to watch Cy and Amanda have a full on discourse about this. Grabs popcorn and waits eagerly* <3
@Amanda84
Would civilisation be better off without the invention of the internet?
I have no doubt it has caused some harm. But I believe it opens up doors for more people to reason with each other. There's something about the internet that brings out honesty, and I believe that reason based in honesty is how we discover truth. The more honest reasoning there is, the closer to truth we get.
It has personally helped me. In my early days, it provided an escape from a painful existence. Now, it's providing a space to allow me to work on my mental health. 7 Cups is a form of therapy for me.
Probably...
