School uniforms are not good or bad in theory.
There are pros and cons to having them and not having them.
School uniforms can make for quick getting ready in the morning and also it stops people from wearing brand names, and other students feeling bad about it. But uniforms can also be pretty restricting creatively.
I wore a school uniform in kindergarden to 3rd grade until I transferred to another school. From 4th grade to 7th grade, I did not wear a uniform. Then I moved, in 8th grade, I used a uniform in the new school.... then came high school, and the entire four years, I did not have a school uniform. I know that there was a time during those years, where they tried to vote for uniforms but we fought it.
I think a dress code is fine, and there can definitely be the option of a school uniform but children need to be able to express themselves.
