Green bean casserole is one of those hideous recipes from 1950's America...back in the days when if you didn't eat something, the wife of the family would serve it at the next meal & you wouldn't get to eat anything else until you finished it. "Children in Africa are starving right now, & you're turning your nose up at perfectly good food!"...
...most likely my response would've been "I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't know there was a shortage of inedible slop in the Third World."

Though I usually don't eat pork, in this case I'll have to remove the pies. I don't like pumpkin pie, anything with cashews or walnuts in it...in other words, most Thanksgiving desserts.
