Your happy place is a memory, situation, or activity that makes you feel happy. It can be anything, so to speak. It can be a memory of when you first met your best friend, it could be a memory of past activity or an event you did with someone you love or it could be a place in your mind you like to visit to de-stress. It doesn't even have to be a real place or a place you've ever been. It's your safe haven to go to when things get rough in your life and it's often used as a mindfulness exercise.

I have a few different scenarios I visit, and most of them are nature oriented. One example of is a memory of my times growing up at my grandma's house, being in the pool and eating pizza. Just the hum of conversation in the background, the chirp of birds, and the warmth of sun on cool skin. My happy place is lazy, timeless and familiar.

I'd love to hear what your happy places look like! Please describe yours, and if you have picture examples, all the better! Please give us a tour of your happy space so we can imagine it, too!

Walking in a huge open field with trees under a night sky with full moon and many stars so I can see where I'm going in the dark. There is absolutely nobody around or anything that's dangerous. Bats occasianally fly by. There's rustling in the grass here and there. The wind is a bit chilly but I'm dressed warmly so it feels cozy. I don't know exactly where I'm going, but I know that I have somewhere to return to and it's not very far away. There are houses in the distance with lights on. The faint noise of traffic can also be heard from time to time if I listen closely. I guess I just like somewhere I can be absolutely alone yet not too far away from civilization.

@Heather225 I have several. My first is a place called the Deer District. It's a giant watch party that holds about 11,000 - 25,000 people during the playoffs. I am an avid NBA fan and a Milwaukee Bucks fan so being around fans all with one goal, to cheer on the Bucks during the games, is my absolute happy place. I feel like the community of fans I have come to know, are all people from different backgrounds, different color, different political background all coming together as a community and celebrating. Being in a big crowd of that many people might feel anxiety inducing to most (and even to me except in this context), but it just feels like home. These are my people. I feel a part of something, a sense of community that I've never really had before, and I've met a lot of friends that way. But there was a big shooting very near the Deer District last week and it made me feel really sad (I was there, it was very scary), Idk if it'll ever have the same vibes again.

My other happy place is a place I used to go to as a kid, every summer. I have a lot of memories attached to it. I just remember taking hikes through the forest and playing on the rocks and jumping off the cliffs. Here's a pic._1653081252.24881638354_98abedd39f_b.jpg

My happy place is anywhere where I can die peacefully
