By now I know I'm getting old because my goatee is maybe 90% white now...& there are white hairs sprinkled on the sides of my head. 🤦🏼♂️ That sides-of-head s*** started last year. ☠️

Other kids WERE more immature!!! TBF tho, I was autistic and had more interesting endeavors than video games and such, like obsessively learning about animals and researching the Holocaust and writing reams of journals <3
🤨 You were reading about the Holocaust when you were little? On your own??... That's unusual, to say the least. I first heard about it at an early age too, but for different reasons.

Maybe not super little, but 10 or so? My stepdad was really into learning about it, and I caught onto it and started hyperfixating on it. It's been a hyperfixation on it for me on and off ever since! I read a LOT about the Holocaust nowadays.
One of these days I'll have to list some items in my personal library & tag you in the post...not all of it would be pleasant, but I think you'd find it interesting.

I definitely knew I was getting old at the moment when I saw the name of a celebrity online--some actress, maybe, I dunno--& I was aware of two things: 1) I did not know who she is, & 2) I didn't give a wet fart in a windstorm who she is. I don't need to know.

Actually they didn't. Because of asinine hospital rules due to liability concerns, I was awake the whole godd**n time.
Yes, really.
The only upside is I had a hotel room reserved in advance. I knew I would need a night to recover afterward, & back then my apartment just didn't cut it.

I've recently seen pictures of when I was a baby/toddler, and my family members still had 80's haircuts. I'm now older than many of them were in the pictures.
At least I still somehow look younger than most of them did.

Signs you're getting old:
1. Your kids are learning to drive
2. You're starting to resemble a skunk
3. You don't get carded buying alcohol
4. The clothing styles you were forced to wear as a child are now the trend
5. They have remade every movie from your childhood (Labyrinth remake)
6. You remember when you had to buy tickets for individual rides at Disneyland and there were no lines.
7. You could go on vacation with your family and just stop at any hotel and find a room without making a reservation 6-12 months in advance
8. Stores are selling band shirts from the 80's to kids who can't name one song of the band they are wearing (ex. The Dark Side of the Moon album cover by Pink Floyd is a Pride shirt)
9. We took Drivers' Ed in high school but our parents didn't want us to drive.
