@Tinywhisper11 Maybe deer? Once they stop getting hit by cars all the time, they’d probably fill the earth up fast. I’m sure something else would rise up to take them out though, and they’d still stand there with the deer in headlights look.

@Tinywhisper11 It's a graboid. A very large carnivorous worm-like creature that burrows underground. Graboids always strike from below...erupting from the dirt or floor to seize their prey. They're the monsters in the Tremors movie series, of which I recommend you see the original film. That movie is actually kind of a cult classic now. I haven't seen any of the sequels. There was a TV show based on the same theme, too.

If you see a graboid erupt from the ground, do not follow your instinct to flee! They're ground-dwelling creatures; they are blind & deaf. That's key... Vibrations from feet (& other things) striking the ground is how they find their prey. Your frenetic movements will be transmitted through your wheelchair into the ground, then one or two of its snake-jawed tongues will grab you off your chair, drag you to the graboid's mouth & then you're done. What you do is sit still....perfectly still. Don't move a muscle, & the graboid will not know you're there unless one of its tongues finds you by accident. That would be unlikely since everyone around you will be panicking & running, which will attract the creature's attention. Sit still & you'll probably make it...though the care staff at the home won't. 😏😆
