I have no pets but if I did, I would want a monkey, to just hang with and give me a scratch and a smile 😂

I have had cats all my life.
currently have 2 brothers age 12, that look nothing alike. One follows me around like a lost puppy, talking to me most of the time, he is a grounding point for me when I am feeling in the dumps and no one else is home. He waits for me to crawl in bed at night so he can jump up and walk all over me. Sometimes falls asleep on me other times he sleeps on my wife.
I would say he is my therapy pet. They say when a cat lays on you purring, it is very calming to the nervous system.
i did have a golden retriever, picture of her in my photo thread. I vow to never get another dog, when her time came to leave this earth, it ripped my heart out. It was like loosing a child.

I do. I have 3.
A male Merle English bulldog. He’s pretty cool looking. 2 different colored eyes. And he’s the biggest doofus. He makes me laugh just about everyday with his shenanigans.
A female red and white English bulldog. She’s the sweetest little wiggle butt there ever was. She cuddles with me every night.
1 vocal, snuggly purring black kitty 🐈⬛
They all carry their own different personalities and ways to build up my day. And sometimes they annoy the 💩 out of me 😂😂😂

i know what you mean about, they can be annoying at times.
the other cat, annoys the sh!te out of my wife and daughter until he gets picked up or fed or brushed. Nothing like my guy who only annoys me by always being in my feet and meowing at me, he is content if all I do is talk back to him.

He comes when I say his name, comforts, hugs , plays and purrs 💝 He definately makes a pawsitive impact on my mental health ❤️
